My mother has been sick for a few days. Every morning, I make a good cup of tea for her. I boil water in a small pot. Then, I throw some elderflowers into a tea jug, and I pour in the boiled water. I let it infuse for ten minutes. After, I put some pieces of sugar in a cup in which I pour the herbal tea, making it go through a passatte [a filter]. I place the cup on a saucer, and I put a tea spoon in it. Quickly, I bring it to mum and tell her, “Bon appétit, mum.” She thanks me with a smile, and she takes it with pleasure. I hope that it will cure mum soon. I am happy to have provided a great service to mom.
Depuis quelques jours ma mère est malade. Chaque matin je lui prepare une bonne tasse du thé. Je fais cuire de l’eau dans un petit pot. Alors je jette quelques fleurs de sureau dans une cruche à thé, et j’y verse l’eau bouillante. Je le laisse infuser dix minutes. Puis je mets quelques morceaux de sucre dans une tasse dans laquelle je verse la tisane, la faisant passer par une passatte. Je place la tasse sur une soucoupe et j’y mets une cuillère à thé. Vite je le porte à maman et je lui dis Bon appétit, maman. Elle me remercie en souriant et elle le prend avec plaisir. J’espère qu’il fera guérir bientôt maman. Je suis heureux d’avoir rendu grand service à maman.
