We love our homeland. We love her dense forests, large rivers, cities, and collective farms. Every corner of her is dear to us. The Soviet people work hard in the factories, plants, and collective farms. They are strengthening the might of our Motherland.
Мы любим нашу Родину. Мы любим её дремучие леса, большие реки, города, колхозы. Каждый её уголок дорог нам. Советские люди упорно работают на заводах, фабриках, в колхозах. Они укрепляют могущество нашей Родины.
There is a big library in Kolkhoz [collective farm] ‘Victory’. Kolkhozniki [farmers in the Soviet Union] read books by Pushkin, Nekrasov, Mayakovskiy, Gorkiy, Kolas, Kupala, Kyleshov. A kolkhoznitsa [farm girl] Maria Ivanova Zaharova reads a lot. Children also like to read.
В колхозе «Победа» большая библиотека. Колхозники читают книги Пушкина, Некрасова, Маяковского, Горького, Коласа, Купалы, Кулешова. Много читает колхозница Мария Ивановна Захарова. Дети тоже любят читать.
